We are overflowing!!!
Kind of like Maxine here…SO full of milk she looked like she would explode! With her boys gone now she needed to be milked so I eagerly obliged.
Note to self: hold bowl with knees AWAY from her angry stomping feet so it doesn’t spill!
IF it’s done right you can end up with a few liters of milk!! Man have I missed milking her.
Nothing like some nice frothy rich warm goats milk ! Although I am a fan of drinking it ice cold. I pour it through some cheese cloth into ice then into a pretty glass bottle. ♡
…..and now the honey. Oh BOY the honey! We have been watching the bees come and go for some time now but haven’t been able to peek in and see the. Busywork ourselves. Thanks to our new friend James we now have almost 80lbs of raw honey to process!
Now we have plenty of work to do tomorrow spinning the bars full if comb and sticky honey! !
TWO large bins full of honey…oh my soul sings for joy at the thought of how many beautiful golden jars I may have in my future!!
And let me tell you…We’ve taste tested it plenty and it IS Ranaldi Family approved!!
