So if you haven’t been following we have a new little member on the farm named Derby. He is the sweetest little guy ever!
I feel like the addition of his cute big boy little blue collar was the final piece to him fitting in around here. It is still undecided whether or not he will be staying or finding a new home in the future. But either way it is such a joy to watch him learn and grow!
The other day we discovered that he loves to play hide and seek. The kids will run around and hide behind different climbing structures in the goat pen then Derby bounces around and tries to find them then gets all excited when the kids pop out and say “BOO!”. The kids then run off and hide again and we start all over. It is stinking adorable! Oh he also is learning tricks…almost like a dog lol. He will stand up on his back feet and beg:
He is also learning to follow me around the yard despite his obnoxiously loud mother yelling and squaking about the fact that he is not within her line of vision….granted she’s too lazy to stop eating and actually turn around to see him! Anyway. ..my goal is to get him to happily walk around on a leash like my goats did when I was younger. Yep I was the kid with goats on leashes at the bus stop….
Today we went for a little walk down to visit Great Grandma and he was so excited to look around and explore the house. He behaved himself and was so calm and curious. He is so stinking adorable!
If you haven’t been down to visit Derby hit us up…He LOVE visitors! Especially of the “little” variety…
